This is the Resource Center for the Highland Community Brownfield Opportunity Area Project.  The purpose of the Resource Center is to share information and collect your ideas on how to shape Highland’s future.  We need your help to recreate and redevelop this community.

Outcomes of Open House #5, June 8th

City of Niagara Falls had a final Public Open House for the BOA project. The meeting was held Monday, June 8th, from 5pm to 8pm at the Doris Jones Family Resource Center, 3001 Ninth Street, Niagara Falls.

At the Open House, the consultant team shared the outcomes of the study, with a particular focus on the detailing the preferred Land Use Plan and draft final Master Plan as well as articulating the required supporting initiatives for its realization. The Master Plan described realistic redevelopment opportunities within the project area based on transportation, market, and environmental analysis completed in earlier phases of work.

    Emerging Plan

    At the Open House, Saturday March 7th, two different Land Use concepts for the BOA study area was presented for review and discussion.

    Next step for the BOA team is to create a single Land Use & Master Plan for the BOA study area. This will be presented at an open house later in the spring.
